last dress standing {a tribute to Alexander McQueen}

if you watched the recent episode of Rachel Zoe you saw the Fashion Relief for Haiti show, with Model Naomi Campbell sashaying down the runway in a moving tribute to the late Alexander McQueen.  This moving tribute by Naomi and other Supermodels viewed here, wearing the infamous Alexander McQueen super high curved heels are as memorable as a museum art piece. As is this dress, not previously shown in his final collection in Paris this last Spring, this dress was designed especially for his longtime friend Annabelle Nielson.

Greetings friends are you enjoying your summer? I have been in a bit of a wedding haze of events this coming week but a good reminder that not just brides need to primp and pamper.  I bumped into a fellow hairstylist at my favorite nail salon and while our tootsie's were drying we babbled about all the rage of Brazilian Blowouts and our favorite products to keep our clients hair looking fabulous this summer. What are yours? More babelicious products on a budget here

boots + booties

Posting a quickie before I have a computer meltdown couldn't help but share these lovely things I came across. Love a glitzy shoe as seen here, especially to pick up some of the black and champagne in my fall wardrobe. My new birthday boots are suede and silver as shown here. I love that they are comfortable and go perfect with leggings and skinny jeans that I bought here. Speaking of skinny have you seen this new campaign add in V magazine? What do you think?

pop glam

These recent images from Luci Doughty JPMS editorial director is a great color boost for hairstylists like myself to think outside of the box. The electric colors remind me of the light a disco ball lands on the dance floor. The color placement is very technical with quad sectioning of the hair and color placement like Magma from Wella, to create magical colors. I added a little glitz to go with the glamour from Rachel Zoe , think Saturday Night Fever—a disco ball in a shoe. Love the Casadei metallic platform pumps.

shoe fetish

Watching the the new season of the Rachel Zoe project was a peek into red carpet, high fashion, frenzy. I loved every bit of it. She is a bit exaggerated in her verbage, "I die," but I think that's why I like to watch. I also can understand how important of a role the chosen hair style for a gown that Zoe's celebrated fashionista will be wearing. She dresses a client from head to toe and with her assistants by her side to deliver the Cartier and Chanel goods I was in fashion heaven. When I was looking for my next shoe lust to display from Brian Atwood, I also noticed Rachel Zoe loved the lola platform pumps too, shown here. These visuals from Brian Atwood's book, Role Play Renee, show a timeless and beautiful, Renee Russo with a shoe fetish. I feel love as I click on his website listening to Donna Summer and dreaming of the shoes I would love to have.
