lock me up {tiffany locks}

I'm not one for jewels, bangles or bracelets at work
come the weekend I just want to play, bring out the bobbles and bling.

 Did I ever mention losing my Tiffany key chain, car keys and all? The engraved inscription on the key ring says, "Please return to Tiffany & Co." so you know what I did? I called them to see if they had been returned. no luck there but they turned up in an unexpected place later.

a burst of color for spring {tangerine lips}

I heart this Season's color of coral or tangerine, it's such a refreshing shade and change from pink.
and so many choices and hues. I found a great one from Boots, Tangerine Twist, while searching for this
 heavenly hue on Eva Longoria here

tangerine dream {captivated by color}

Have you noticed the lovely pop of color of tangerine this Spring with garments and and even make up ? I love a bright splash of color on nails.  I tend to be a matchy gal, the shoes, with the blouse, you know what I mean. I think I'll just stick to a pop of color in hair, you can wear it with everything. What are you favorite colors this spring?  More tangerine inspiration here

make up for every occasion

I just love the look and feel of fresh skin
I prefer very little coverage  for daytime with just the right components to take it to evening my choices below

a tinted moisturizer with a little SPF and a little pot of powder perfect for touch ups, lovely accents like this jeweled pigment powder are perfect for a little luster
I like to add a little crème tint for blush and for lips a nude pencil does wonders to cover imperfections,  on the lip line and add a base for your favorite color or gloss. A colorful palette perfect for spring
I love a little night time drama with a smokey palette. For daytime individual lashes give tired eyes a lift. For night time sexy me up with a long kitten lash. With a creme liner and a flick of your hand as close to the lashes as possible to create this season's sexy look. What are your favorite choices for make up this season?

color me pretty {make-up monday}

Shopping for make up is always an experience even for this make up artist
The lovely Olivia Palermo inspires me, with a pop of pink on her pouty lips, how-to, tips below
Currently growing out my hair and loving these upswept romantic updo's
 If I can find some as dazzling jewels as her's from Forever 21 I will be one happy girl

It's Monday and I have make up on the mind. A little Sephora shopping trip never hurts.
Yesterday in the company of a five year old, It's not surprising I couldn't keep her away from the colorful pops of pink all over. She even inspired me to ditch my natural neutrals and try a little pop of color for spring. A little blotting with a soft tissue after applying color leaves a soft stain on those pouty lips. Of course I had to remind her of the rules of testing out make up from a counter. Sanitize your hands first, wipe off excess before applying. Use new and sanitary applicator brushes and sponges only. Don't hesitate about asking for a new tester if you are serious about purchasing especially for lip and eye products where the double dipping usually occurs.  Feeling like showing off a little skin I left with an illuminating tinted moisturizer and some oil free foundation that lets my skin glow. fresh faced beauty {pumpkin peel}

The lovely Spanish Model Alejandra Alonso exudes a look of glamour and grace that I just love.
 Love this look reminds me of this iconic beauty with a smokey eye, and sexy, voluminous, waves.
I need some tips on how to wear these rings, love the look perhaps this would be a Forever 21 shopping spree? For every skin in between seasons, exfoliating is essential for fresh faced beauty
I am a big fan of pumpkin facials. and you can have one in the privacy of you own home, with a nice candle and some mood music, what a way to relax and bring you back to the fresh faced beauty that you are.
Perfect way to get your skin ready for new some new fall /winter looks, I'm not a big fan of dark lips with a smokey eye but I love it on Scarlett here. What are some of your Seasonal changes for skincare and make up? More of Scarlett's Starlette moment with make up artist, Pat McGrath here

step outside your make up box

This new online magazine Beautyetc with simply glamorous inspiration on how to step outside the make up artist box with cool streaks, shimmery saturation, and fun accents. When I am preparing for a show I like to look at a lot of inspiration and take a dive into something new that peaks my interest. I think show stopping make up onstage needs some dramatic saturation of color like this with lots of lashes. What do you think?
A similar color palate of shimmer and pastels, it just goes to show sometimes the best make up is timeless just like Audrey here

inspiration {runway hair}

The beauty of fashionable wearable hair

at first sight I thought she looked like the lovely Alicia Silverstone, don't you think?

I love it all from the frontal view to the back what every one sees as she walks off the catwalk

Checking out the latest runway looks inspires me in and out of the salon
bump it up
finding balance with hair is crucial, as in life..
a little white residue from baby powder on hair to create a matte look
a little help from an assistant is priceless with longer wafts of hair like this
I get tips from my colleagues and even my mom, she is a big fan of longer hair pins
concentration is key even with the paparazzi around
nothing like a fully stocked make up kit

rosy cheeks pink + chandelier haven

Did you know I painted my bathroom as pink as this sheer curtain and these pink frocks below?
 Yes it took a little getting used to, but now I love it! The color I chose is called rosy cheeks
My intention was to give a rose glow to the room, great lighting is essential when applying make up
This flamenco shower curtain made it feel like home, now all it needs is a chandelier
like the one in my bedroom,
 Love this ruffled bedding, more girly sheets here.

metallic hues in shoes and hair + what's in that goodie bag?

It's New York Fashion Week, and the next best thing to being there is lusting over these shoes for fall and wondering what's in those goodie bags? The heels the clean lines and high heel and slight platform  pump, reminds me of another favorite shoe designer, Brian Atwood. What are your fall favorites?
My favorite fall bootie here.

 My goodie bag at Sephora, stocking up my make up kit for a wedding next weekend..
