recipe for love

After some surgery and a brief stay at the doggie hospital, my girl is home and so happy to have her right by my side.
Giving her a whole lotta love including her favorite walk. Cooking up her special diet of Chicken, parsleygarlic, mixed with plain non-fat yoghurt. Sheeez a better diet then mine! Oh and did I mention the chicken was organic? Checked out recipes from this Dog Friendly cancer diet. Looks like she'll be eating a lot of protein, and less kibble. So interesting how dog's diseases nowadays mirror humans. Even with all of the Green tea powder, fish oil and flax seed, I have given both of my dogs through the years it didn't keep a tumor away.
The good news is she seems to be recovering strong and healthy and that is a sign of what daily exercise, sprinkled with lots of love and topped with proper nutrition will do.

a cupcake or a kiss

Lana needs a new cozy bed
but then so does Bruno

What shall it be a cupcake or a kiss? Are these not the coolest dog beds ever? Please keep my girl in your prayers She'll be visiting her vet tomorrow for some minor surgery.

Looking forward to days like this ahead soon.

tia torres on ellen

I am hooked on Tia Torres and her show, Pit bulls and Parolees. Having been a guardian myself of 2 Staffodshire Terriers, Lana and Lola, I was also afraid of all of the hype about Pitbulls and their disobedient behavior. I resolved myself to be an educated Pitbull owner and soon was taking obedience classes in the valley where none other than Tia Torres was giving them for gratis. What a treat. I am a sucker for the breed now and am so happy to see she is enlightening the public with her weekly show and helping to rehabilitate parolees by working with the misunderstood breed. If I could do something to give back I would donate my services to Tia, looks like she is a perfect 77/45. I included a clip of the recent Ellen show with Tia and Snorky enjoy the love. Speaking of Ellen digging her new bright blonde streaks. Sometimes going blonder in the winter works for blondes. I would say she is a perfect high lift color combination of 12/22, 12/0,12/61, and 12/03

a little about me

Story telling is always so interesting as I lay me down to sleep I have been enjoying my new read, sTori Telling. We all have a story to tell and whether you like the reality tv star, Tori Spelling, or not she tells her story with a great sense of humor and recaps her life starting with childhood memories that molded the Woman she has come to be. I recently watched Oprah's show filled with great anti-aging tips Dr.Oz's, advice is that being passionate in your life about the things you do have a huge impact on staying young. I am passionate about many things, my health, exercising and staying fit, my work, my loved ones including my beautiful animals, are first on the list. I am often asked while at Trader Joes stocking up on their version of greenies, and peanut butter dog cookes, or on my daily walks what made me have such big dogs and especially a pit bull? I adopted both of my dogs, Lana and Bruno or rather I believe they came to me because I believe we are lucky to be a dogs guardian for this short but lovely time they spend with us on earth. They don't ask for much just lots of discipline, exercise and affection. In that order according to my favorite Dog psychologist. I some times fail at the order of affection so hard not to snuggle Lana's tummy in the morning when at my first steps to turn on my coffee she is on her back, legs up, ready for a belly rub. I love my mornings and my daily ritual after the coffee of course is my walk with the early morning air and less traffic to my ears I get some cardio going taking on the hills with two weights in each hand, Lana and Bruno. This picture above was taking in memory of my birthday and enjoying the beauty of the Atheneum where I have precious memories of a wedding past. I was inspired by "Sex and The City," and Carrie Bradshaw's comical and witty writing skills as she shared her knowledge and trials and triumphs in love and life. I couldn't wait to share mine.
