recipe for love

 After some surgery and a brief stay at the doggie hospital, my girl is home and so happy to have her right by my side.
Giving her a whole lotta love including her favorite walk. Cooking up her special diet of Chicken, parsleygarlic, mixed with plain non-fat yoghurt. Sheeez a better diet then mine! Oh and did I mention the chicken was organic? Checked out recipes from this Dog Friendly cancer diet. Looks like she'll be eating a lot of protein, and less kibble. So interesting how dog's diseases nowadays mirror humans. Even with all of the Green tea powder, fish oil and flax seed, I have given both of my dogs through the years it didn't keep a tumor away.
The good news is she seems to be recovering strong and healthy and that is a sign of what daily exercise, sprinkled with lots of love and topped with proper nutrition will do.

a gift for my dogs { peanut butter cookies} and a gift for me {in a little blue box}

The holiday season is here ,time is a pressing, my tree is awaiting, and I have a desire to spend the extra time baking. It's not usual I love to cook especially deserts like this The difference tonight it's for the dogs. With the colder California weather in full force it feels good to heat up my old hardwoods with some heat from the oven while watching old movies like this favorite. Deciding which recipe to make wasn't too hard this recipe banishing doggie breath made me laugh, but I wanted to add ingredients like flax seed and yucca to help with joints to make those doggie treks up the hills easier. I will be making this Peanut Butter recipe here, with the above mentioned supplements and an addition of carrot puree, minus the raisins.
I haven't forgotten myself, did I mention what I found cleaning out my closet
 All wrapped up in a little blue box. I can't wait to do a little Tiffany shopping. Images from the lovely Holiday campaign here.

LV lust seen here complete with a dog collar reminds me that someone has a Birthday coming up. Lana has a vintage one perhaps the Bruno boy should have one too after all in my house it's a dogs life as seen here. More from this lovely editorial here. More vintage LV finds here and my lust here. I'll take any of these lovely bags above how about you?

dog day afternoon {happy sunday}

 Happy rainy day in L.A. It feels like fall, hearing the pitter patter of rain and the scent of pumpkin bread baking in the oven life is good on this Sunday afternoon. A dog walk is always in order, the only thing missing is some cool waterproof gear like this to keep them dry.

it's a dog's house

a whimsical way of keeping your dogs in the loo
 doggie trinkets here along with photos of our furry friends  love the standing candelabra
a designer's work space including her dogs
I love me some LV my dog Lana has one of these collars, a beloved birthday gift. Though tattered and worn it's only the second collar I've ever bought her since she was a pup. I was considering one for my other dog, Bruno until I noticed the $ went up alot! Should I?

Happy Tuesday to you, after breezing through the new Lonny mag my eye caught the doggie living pics of course. A lovely thanks to her for today's post. More doggie love on Monday's from Desire to Inspire and while shopping at Anthropologie.  yesterday I thought what great thank you cards these would make.  I left empty handed for myself but with a candle for a going away on vacation gift to a friend.( I always take candles with me abroad, it's like bringing a little piece of home with me). since I couldn't decide between this dress and some lovely towels, guess what I'm going back for?

beautification on a budget

Great Recession-proof tips about how to look your most beautiful and age gracefully, without the barrage of hideously pricey products.

You can read the full post here:
                                              1. Soften your face's default expression.
2. The easiest-fix: stand tall
3. Cross your legs at the ankle instead of the knee.
4. Nude shoes elongate your legs.

5. Throw away the drinking straw.

6. Slumber on a silk pillowcase.

7. It's called Beauty Sleep for a reason.

8. Defy gravity.

9. The smartest accessory: a hat.

10. Chin up.

I am so guilty of having a poker face while working or making quirky faces when applying make up as if I was applying my own (opening my mouth while applying a clients lipstick). Softening my facial expressions has been an easy reminder once I caught a glimpse of myself in my computer screen! Hope you had a lovely weekend.  A great ending to a busy work week with  great company and dinner at a downtown favorite, here, Trying to re-create the great margarita with a huge ice cube we ended up at the new Ritz Carlton L.A. beautiful views and lots of cute couples posing for pics and some great music playing in the back round in the women's lounge I wish I could have tagged .
sunday doggie classes are keeping me balanced.

screen goddess {marion cotillard}

Last week in the salon one of my clients was admiring Marion Coutillard on the cover of this month's Voque. Made me want to be that kind of girl than I saw these from next month's Interview made me want to be this kind of girl too!

                                                          provocative
                                                                   confident
just dreamy
Photobucket
right now I'm just a girl and her dogs enjoying the day

Photobucket
what kind of girl are you?

What a versatile actress she is. Looking forward to seeing her in the movie, "Inception," with Leo DiCaprio, (does he ever age?) My favorite, movie with Marion would probably have to be La Vie en Rose, the story of the greatest French songstress, Edith Piaf.
