louis vuitton fall campaign {takes my breath away}

Just in case you haven't had enough of this lovely campaign preview, these are my favorites. Leaving for Las Vegas and with the LV shop just a stroll away let me tell you that handbag above has been on my mind as seen here an early birthday gift perhaps?  Shoes, these beautiful shoes with bows on them, did I ever mention how much I love them? Models I love like Christy Turlington and her timeless beauty. Karen Elson has been my inspiration in the salon for many a redhead. Sometimes the simplest things make a classic hairstyle like this sleek ponytail with it's curly swoop and if you can wear it a short fringe is sharp. More of the eye catching editorial here.
Excuse me while I finish packing.. have a lovely weekend~

what happens in vegas

I can't wait to wear all my glitter and gold of the season for this quick getaway to Las Vegas. along with all of the food and nightclub choices
 I happened to find out about these exclusive Dior scents available only in Las Vegas, My favorite Dior scent is Miss Dior Cherie, as mentioned here, What is your favorite fragrance of the season?

I had a client in the salon that uses nothing else in her hair but Kiehls and it looked great (even better after her haircut with me) My skin could sure use some of the Soy Honey Whipped Body Butter

I first heard about Anastasia in Beverly Hills known for her exclusive stencil for brows she has also set up shop in Vegas
Of course I'll be wearing lashes galore!
a lovely flat is looking more and more appealing for fall

I'm sure by the end of the night I'll be kicking off my fabulous 5" high heels, for some practical flats like
 these that may not be so sexy but will sure will save my feet just in time to get to the spa. Being the Beautician I am I couldn't help but check out the hair aspect of Las Vegas, always intrigued by barber shops as seen here.There are quite a few barber shops in Las Vegas. I couldn't help but wonder if they give lap dances with that buzz cut, after all it is sin city.

holiday home {links}

I finally hung my holiday wreath on my door, this one from here
I have my tree up complete with lights and cards hanging up too!
recycling is a holiday must I was pleasantly surprised at how many supplies I have from years past
Sweet scent of the season love my chocolate a recipe just like abuelita's

A welcome home awaits me outside the door with my holiday wreath and inside with the best greeting ever from my furry friends, their reward are these cookies that I have been baking. Love the warmth of  home, scented, with candles all glow and the presence of Christmas. How is your holiday home?

Unforgettable.. the dress {beautiful shoes and big hair}

I mentioned here how much my preference for a wedding dress has changed, less is more.
Peter Fox has such lovely vintage style shoes, I bought some for my own wedding
an impromptu shot of those bridal shoes, any idea which ones?.
 The grandiose affair would be the hair, the higher the hair the closer to heaven

In the midst of showcasing the beautiful things in my closet as inspired here, it helped me to not only to purge but to open up those shoe boxes and decide which ones should be worn and which should be shared. Material things are replaceable. It's rather cathartic, once I get started I don't even want to replace with anything other than things I love.

a gift for my dogs { peanut butter cookies} and a gift for me {in a little blue box}

The holiday season is here ,time is a pressing, my tree is awaiting, and I have a desire to spend the extra time baking. It's not usual I love to cook especially deserts like this The difference tonight it's for the dogs. With the colder California weather in full force it feels good to heat up my old hardwoods with some heat from the oven while watching old movies like this favorite. Deciding which recipe to make wasn't too hard this recipe banishing doggie breath made me laugh, but I wanted to add ingredients like flax seed and yucca to help with joints to make those doggie treks up the hills easier. I will be making this Peanut Butter recipe here, with the above mentioned supplements and an addition of carrot puree, minus the raisins.
I haven't forgotten myself, did I mention what I found cleaning out my closet
 All wrapped up in a little blue box. I can't wait to do a little Tiffany shopping. Images from the lovely Holiday campaign here.

The shimmer of these lovely open toe stiletto's with a simple velvet bow remind me of an ornament on a christmas tree. Reading this post today, inspired me to want to put up my pink tinsel tree soon.
What things are inspiring you these busy days?

living proof {in search of alternative sulfate free shampoo}

My recent Brazilian Blowout treatment on myself has been a success as far as leaving my hair manageable and frizz free. My blow dry time is minimized and my color treated hair is sleek and healthy as ever. The only downside is my preference of product. Brazilian Blowout maintains that these after care products are essential to keeping the look and it's lasting power,(approximately 3-6 months). I have done a little client research of my own Brazilian Blowout success stories and this is what I have come up with. Most curly hair clients love it, but don't' love the limp, flat hair they can experience at first with a fresh treatment. Thorough washing takes care of this in a week or so. I have suggested even alternating product so there is no residue or build up and the Brazilian Blowout lives on in their hair.
Living Proof  sulfate free shampoo, I'm going to give it a go on my own hair. I'll let you know how it does with my own Brazilian Blowout tresses.
Now if only I could find a cool faux fur like this, to go with my newly sleek hair

cut it out {holiday hairdos}

How can something so messy looks so sexy?
Side swept updo with a few wisps left out
headbands are not just for the gym a little embellishment to a sleek beehive
This look reminds me of my favorite lovely Latina, Eva Mendes
Pretty little twists make your party exit unforgettable
I love this eye catching look along with the messy low slung knot

Always open to new ideas when clients bring me tear sheets of a hair cut or style. Here are some Holiday hair do's for you to take to your hairdresser to share, or try yourself. Here are some of my favorites, What about yours? you can browse for more holiday hairdo's here
