what if feels like to be a princess

Have you wondered all that Kate Middleton must be going through,
as she prepares to marry her Prince?
Of course all I can think about is the hair, will it be half up or down
an over the top chignon, or a simple twist
and perhaps a tiara, or a miniature crown
All the oohs and ahhs of the dress, rumor has it that it will be a McQueen, how fitting!

and don't forget the shoes, These are fit for a Queen!
a little girl once asked Princess Diana, "What does it feel like to be a princess?" Princess Di leaned in close and said, "It's like getting reading for a wedding everyday, you just know you have to be on your best behavior because so many people will be watching you." Now they will be watching her son, Prince William as he marries his future Queen, Kate.
are you as excited as I am?

teddy girls and boys

It's not unusual for me to put aside a full desk of paper work and opt for browsing my trade magazines. It helps that my day started out in a bit of a languorous mood until this hazy spring day, finally brought some sunshine. Loving the mood of these Teddy Boys and girls. Think; The Outsiders, Lords of Flatbush. High piled up hair and a pompadour or two and not just on the boys.

recipe for love

After some surgery and a brief stay at the doggie hospital, my girl is home and so happy to have her right by my side.
Giving her a whole lotta love including her favorite walk. Cooking up her special diet of Chicken, parsleygarlic, mixed with plain non-fat yoghurt. Sheeez a better diet then mine! Oh and did I mention the chicken was organic? Checked out recipes from this Dog Friendly cancer diet. Looks like she'll be eating a lot of protein, and less kibble. So interesting how dog's diseases nowadays mirror humans. Even with all of the Green tea powder, fish oil and flax seed, I have given both of my dogs through the years it didn't keep a tumor away.
The good news is she seems to be recovering strong and healthy and that is a sign of what daily exercise, sprinkled with lots of love and topped with proper nutrition will do.

a cupcake or a kiss

Lana needs a new cozy bed
but then so does Bruno

What shall it be a cupcake or a kiss? Are these not the coolest dog beds ever? Please keep my girl in your prayers She'll be visiting her vet tomorrow for some minor surgery.

Looking forward to days like this ahead soon.

oh lovely day

can you believe this is the editorial add for the new OPI  nail polish collection?
I am a french manicure kind of gal on my fingertips
but on my toes nothing beats a bright color like Atomic Orange for Spring!

green around the edges

shades of green for spring

My kind of chair this is how you get rid of candy wrapper evidence
buff and polish and your canvas will look great with the slightest tinted moisturizer
my favorite green products below

Paul Mitchell products, tested on humans not animals.

Dealing with a desk full of weeks worth of paper work is never fun. Of course the best distraction is a new post. As I browsed through my latest Beauty Launchpad I was so inspired by things the beauty industry is doing to remind us to make a difference. Whether it's staying in a greener hotel, purchasing beauty products that encourage recyclable packaging, or my favorite, beauty products good enough to use on my best friends.

everything's coming up braids

Braids have been the new up-do for spring. The nice thing about them is you can use your day old head of hair and a little bit of teasing. The right products will give you a bit of texture and some elastics and pins to tuck in unwanted strays. Final touches like a lovely flower below or embellished hair pin as a final touch.  What do you think is the look for you?

tuesday inspiration {diamond dust}

All that glitters.. diamond dust in hair products and in make up Stila has a new set of sparkle for eyes

inspired by this 70's style hair and make up with over the top lashes
A modern twist on this little pouf of a beehive
Affordable luxury for your hair with these new products created with a little diamond dust nourishing for color treated hair and intoxicating to the senses. I always remind my clients your hair is an investment. Using the proper color care products will only make your hair color look better longer.
and one more product I can't help but add any time you can refresh with a clarifying shampoo you give your hair a healthy break from buildup.

Just for fun this twist below reminds me of the cone I had at Mc D's yesterday.. ever have one of those days? It's tax season I needed a break!

a burst of color for spring {tangerine lips}

I heart this Season's color of coral or tangerine, it's such a refreshing shade and change from pink.
and so many choices and hues. I found a great one from Boots, Tangerine Twist, while searching for this
heavenly hue on Eva Longoria here
