Shear genius inspiration

I wonder if there is a vinyl record under that hair and net?

I love the boudoir feeling of thigh high's and heels with a corset and soft waves flowing and accents of pink even in her hair.

This kind of yellow is definitely a special blond mix or cellophane perhaps?

eyebrows whited out can be done with this pencil to match the  Lana Turner look

 Va Va Voom a smokey eye and a pouty fuschia lip like Funny Face from Nars that certain skin tones like this can wear so well.

 A bit of inspiration in honor of Shear Genius 3.  I couldn't be more excited to see what host Jonathan Antin and Camilla Alves bring to the cutting table along with this years pick of international hairstylists.  Loved Shear Genius 2 as shown here.  A special shout out to this season's contestant, Janine Jarman, another talented Sebastian artist who will also be sharing her talent. Sebastian/Wella we are family.  Kim Vo last Season's judge will be returning and Orlando Pita one of my favorite celebrity hairdressers will be adding his expertise as previously shown here.

This first piled high, braided, chignon, is magical and a perfect compliment to the season.
The 2009 Fashion Week collections were an inspiration of some fascinating hair trends. The Look: braided beauties, period pieces inspired by the ‘20s, ‘30s and ‘40s and chic chignons. Odile Gilbert and Wella master colorist Eva Scrivo came up with a look that was both unexpected and curious—alluding to the artists of the movement. They offered sleek, sophisticated chignons in a multitude of shapes and a variety of colors.  They used extensions and hairnets for dimension, which made the updos anything but typical.  These braided chignon via runway at  Rodarte “The shapes are simple but the texture is complex." Orlando Pita for Carolina Herrera  created a young but sophisticated version of the 'do. A young take on the classic chignon was the perfect way to pull hair up and include copper rose embellishments from the collection. The look was sophisticated but fresh, and looked like the girls had done it themselves in a hurry. Speaking of Orlando Pita, looking forward to seeing him  as one of the judges on the new season of Shear Genius along with Blowout's, Jonathon Antin, and Matthew McConaughey’s love, Brazillian model Camila Alves make this a must see in the New Year for me!

Cindy Crawford es muy sexy! Browsing through the pics in Vogue España allowed me to practice my second language. There are many glam photos I love this one where she is hugging herself. It must be a comfort thing. I caught myself doing that in class recently . I love it when credit that is given to hairstylist's for the stars they coiff. Sam McKnight takes credit for Gisele Bundchen's mane and said she has the best hair in the world. Classic, and eternally beautiful with spectacular hair is how Sam Mcknight describes Penelope Cruz. Another client who he defines as a sexy, chameleon, with her cover look is Kate Moss. Sally Hershberger takes credit for Katie Holmes new bob. Colorist Nelson Chan gives Heather Grahm a playful, sexy, look with highlights that bring out her baby blues. Orlando Pita, styles Gwyneth with my favorite blowdryer. He is also lead stylist for Dior with Pat McGrath my inspiration for glamorous make up.

While browsing through an issue of Harpers Bazaar, I discovered these twists and braids from celebrity hairstylist, Orlando Pita. These beautiful twisted coiffs are an uplift to the serene chignon. When working with updo's day old hair works best or use a dry shampoo. When styling spray and lightly backcomb, then brush strands before twisting and braiding in place. After uncoiling the braids and twists, you get some waves that you can just let all hang loose like this.
