Did you have a great weekend? I am still enjoying for today is this hairstylists official dia de descanso (day of relaxation). I was up a little late last night because of fireworks frazzling my pooches, July 4th is not one of my favorite, as I mentioned here. I love a sweaty workout out and hiking with the homies so I can indulge later with a turkey burger and lemon gelato for postre {desert}. Besides a little ginger in my burger (keeps them nice and moist) Another great use of ginger with this cocktail recipe I enjoyed many a summer below:
Gingered Vodka Limeade
Blend 4 cups ginger beer
1 1/2 cups vodka,
1 cup frozen limeade thawed
1/2 cup orange flavored liqueur
1/2 cup sugar
and crushed ice
garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs
*non-alcoholic version substitute vodka and liqueur with club soda
